About Me
As a Sr. Technical Implementation Specialist at a SaaS company, I work on technical implementations, consult with clients, and manage projects from onboarding through completion. I’m always looking for ways to expand my technical knowledge and better understand how the systems I work with fit together.
In 2024, I earned my AWS CCP certification to build a foundation in cloud services and started documenting my journey learning Python. Since then, I’ve continued building my coding knowledge while spending more time learning about APIs and how different systems connect.
Before transitioning into tech, I studied international relations and worked in economic development. That experience shaped the way I approach problems today, especially when there isn’t an obvious answer.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with family, turning wrenches on a 2001 Land Rover Discovery that constantly teaches me patience, or behind a camera.

Areas of Focus

Leadership Development
Anyone can lead. It doesn’t matter if you’re a sophomore in college, in an entry-level position, or a CFO at a struggling paper company. We all need leadership skills.
In this series, I explore what leadership looks like in practice, from case studies of leaders who succeeded or failed to lessons we can apply in our own lives.
Photography
Beauty is in the details. As a fictional detective once said, “You see, but you do not observe.” Photography gives me a reason to slow down, pay attention, and notice things I might otherwise miss.
I’m always looking for new ideas and perspectives, drawing inspiration from nature, cinema, art, and engineering.
Python & APIs
I started learning Python a couple of years ago and have been building my coding knowledge ever since. This year, I’m diving deeper into APIs and how software and systems connect.
Part of learning something new is being comfortable with being a beginner. I’m enjoying the challenge, one project and one mistake at a time.
